Search Group Gathers At Centennial Park For Man Missing In Kenai River

first_imgThe Alaska State Troopers received a report that four boaters were ejected from a boat on the Kenai. Three of the occupants were able to swim to shore.  The fourth boater, identified as Keltner was reportedly unable to make it to shore and was last seen floating down river and had reportedly gone under water. Friends and family members resumed their search on the banks of the Kenai River.  They reached out to any and all volunteers to assist in search efforts. The Alaska State Troopers along with the Alaska Wildlife Troopers, Alaska State Park Rangers, Soldotna Police Department and Central Emergency Services responded to the area via boat and on foot checking the shoreline. All search units were unable to locate Keltner and the search was suspended. FacebookTwitterEmailPrintFriendly分享The missing boater, Philip Keltner “Kurt” (63) of Colorado, was  last seen on August 4, at 9:07pm when he was ejected from an out of control boat on the Kenai River near Centennial. Keltner’s Daughter Melissa Games….. Games: “People aren’t giving up and my dad would be doing the same thing, rain or shine he would be out here for anybody. That is the type of person that my dad was, he would do anything for anybody. He is a strong guy and we are just hoping for the best, but at the same time facing reality at this point and just want answers before we go home.”  Covey: “We’re going to be going all day until the family says quit or everyone is exhausted beyond their means.”  Volunteers are still needed as well as supplies; Life jackets, two-way radios, bottled water, sandwiches, rain gear, snacks. Search crews will be going all day. Roughly 50-60 community members flooded the waters donning life jackets and filling volunteer driven boats to assist the family in search efforts. Community Trust presented £8000 from the sale of Harry Dolman book

first_imgThe book which describes how Mr Dolman rose from his humble rural roots in Wiltshire to be a multi-millionaire businessman and inventor is based on previously undiscovered hand written diaries penned by the man nicknamed ‘Mr Bristol City’ himself.The sale of the book generated a profit of £8000, all of which has generously been donated by Marina Dolman MBE and Bristol Books to the Trust to support their work in the local community.Marina told the Trust, “I am absolutely thrilled with the response to Harry’s book, and I am extremely pleased to be able to donate the proceeds to support the work of the Bristol City Community Trust.”Author of the book Martin Powell commented, “It is totally appropriate that the proceeds from sales of the Harry Dolman book should go to the Bristol City Community Trust as Harry was passionate about supporting the local community.“Keeping the memory of Harry Dolman alive and ensuring all he did for Bristol City and football in Bristol was the main motivation behind the book.”The book by Martin Powell and Clive Burlton was published by Bristol Books.
